Its been a while since I did this, but I should definitely do this much more often...

I'll be at the MCM expo in the Birmingham International (NEC) this weekend, mostly to visit friends, but I'll definitely be running around and taking a lot of photos for cosplayers. So, if anyone does want a photoshoot doing for them, don't be afraid to contact me. So far, I don't have anything scheduled, so I'll be giving out contact details for people who want them for that weekend, professionally.

How long has it been since I wrote here? Too long, I think...

Well, you've probably noticed I upload as normal when I get chance to edit photos. Got a lot of last manchester out of the way, so I thought it'd be nice to let people know what's going on.

I am arranging shoots for different things. I have a group on Facebook for arranging a Haikyuu shoot in the next few months or so once people have their cosplays sorted out. I have a mini shoot this weekend, don't know what people are wearing, but a little shoot at a new location my friend found.
I'm messing around with stuff and seeing what conventions I can go to this year...I'm hoping to go to J-Con and Memorabilia with my usual group. And, next year, I'll definitely be attending Kitacon as usual. Every year, man! Kitacon is my shit.

Well, it's hard to figure these things out when I've had a LOT of issues floating around that stop me being able to travel around as much. But, I'm getting better so it'll be easier to get out soon. We'll see!

If I arrange certain shoots soon, I'll be sure to mention them.

Welll, I apologize for not doing this for the past couple of cons, but I realized how lazy I am when it comes to basically copy and pasting from websites when I could just name the con and shout "Google it". I'm not that horrible, so I will describe the con and all that, but I'm not gonna copy and paste everything that happens, because it just gets annoying and makes the journal longer to read.

(I also apologize for the lack of photos lately, college has finally finished so I can do a lot more now. I've not been concentraiting on it, so here I am again)

Manchester MCM Expo 2013

I've already got a few photoshoots lined up, but I'll list them at the bottom of the page.

Last year, the con had a few issues with how many people turned up. MCM ended up being called out on with their stupid decisions, such as putting the guest (Vic Mignogna) at the front, where the line was so long that people couldn't get back into the con, and wasting space in the back by throwing boxes there and claiming it was being used, so people called them out. This year, they have decided to try give more space for everyone, but worry has been shown about even more people turning up because of the rumoured extra space.

It is worth going, especially for photos, just because the area is half decent when it comes to it. Trust me, around the con I'm gonna be just walking around the area looking for photoshoot spots for the shoots I have with friends.

Right, so, the con itself...it was fun last year just to be able to see friends. To be fair, I barely went in. With less than two weeks to go, I feel decently excited about going to a proper con for the first time in a few months. Especially with my usual group of friends (to see even more of my friends, aha).

If you need/want contact details, message me and I'll give out the simplest details (though if you just start harassing me via text or something, I'm gonna start getting angry. I'm only doing this because some people complain I need to start giving out business cards (but I can't because I don't have a printer and I don't want to pay to make some)).

Okay, I'm starting to post journals before cons, so I can see if anyone from DA wants photoshoots, as I only put statuses and my Facebook like page (which is still under BakaPhotography, if you haven't liked it).
So, putting up journals might help. But they'll be up at least a week or so before the con, depending on if the con is new or popular. An example would be Kitacon, when it comes back. I'd have to post a status a few weeks before and possibly again and again each week to make sure people can confirm shoots, add shoots, etc. etc.

So, AM'FE is this weekend.

There is a cosplay contest and masquarade, so those are available to enter, but there are only a certain amount of spaces.

AM'FE is also contributing money to AID FOR JAPAN for the victims of the disaster of March 2011. There will be a charity table with raffle tickets and various anime merchandise.

This is all on the 8th of December and I will be around holding photoshoot throughout the day.
Some photoshoots are still in pending. Those who have had photoshoots from me will know my photoshoots are like playing wheres wally. You find me and your prize is the photoshoot. They're as free as usual, so no need to worry about money.
I, myself, will be dressed as Mikuo Hatsune (in an original design, so if you find one in the default outfit, it probably isn't me) and to help, I will/should have a guitar hero controller with me to make me easier to spot.

I am. I am back.
As you've already noticed.

But I got all my photos back (except a couple, but that's my own fault).

Now, I am curious if I should do any big journals for cons I go to. Because I know some people who watch this account will want photography done.
Not sure, though.
If you want to keep up with updates for cons, I do have a facebook Like page and a Tumblr account which I sometimes but event posts on. They're both under 'BakaPhotography', so they should be easy to find (because URL's aren't working for me right now. Sorry)

Well, let's hope I don't have to wipe the disk drive again, or that's gonna be another huge pain in the arse.
